Winery Manager Position
Ainoa Winery is an internationally awarded company producing fine fruit wines from the Nordic terroir. Behind the company are two passionate entrepreneurs who are looking for a reliable team player to help us drive Ainoa’s growth forward.
We are looking for a Winery Manager to run the day-to-day winery operations. This is a practical and wide-ranging position, where you will participate in all key aspects of the company and contribute to the development of its operations. You do not need to know everything and your background can be diverse. However, the most important thing is an entrepreneurial and self-initiative approach, a willingness to take on wide-ranging tasks and the ability to organize operations. Attitude and passion are more important than any specific skill.
Apart from helping Ainoa grow, we also hope that you grow within the company and develop personally, are willing to expand your responsibilities over time and share our passion for growing a glocal business and as a result grow the Finnish, more specifically countryside, economy.
We expect you to have experience in operational business or business tasks and the wine or craft alcohol production industry. However, your background may be in the restaurant industry, entrepreneurship, marketing or event planning.
We are now primarily looking for you for the following tasks:
- Daily business activities, such as handling invoicing and payment transactions and tasks related to sales and operations reporting
- Order processing and contact with suppliers and corporate customers.
- Managing the winery store, group visits, events and store inventory.
- Needed production work
- In the future, tasks as the immediate supervisor of the winery's seasonal workers.
In addition, we want to give you opportunities to build your own field of work and utilize your strengths. Your work may also include various marketing development and social media tasks, as well as the development of sales-promoting events and campaigns, and other projects that match your strengths.
We expect from you
- Appreciation for fine wines and an experienced understanding of wine or alcohol production, viticulture, enology, and wine sales
- An entrepreneurial, hard-working attitude
- Reliability and experience in financial and administrative tasks
- Customer-oriented and business-supportive thinking
- Good English skills and excellent written and oral Finnish skills
Our goal is to find a long-term person to grow within the company. Salary will be agreed together - please attach your initial salary request to your application. Work will start according to agreement.
Ainoa Winery is located in Hollola, near Lahti. The job description mainly requires local work at the winery, but some remote work is also possible by agreement.
